Today is Chobok — the first of Korea’s three hottest summer days.
And to stay strong in the heat, Koreans enjoy Samgyetang, a warm and nourishing ginseng chicken soup.
It’s a whole young chicken, stuffed with sticky rice, garlic, and jujube (red dates),
simmered in a rich ginseng broth.
