Sangmi’s Goddess Hair Journey: From Stiff, Heavy Hair to Glossy Black

When Sangmi first tried coloring her hair, it wasn’t easy.
Her hair felt like a coarse, stiff ponytail — thick, heavy, and full of volume.

Because her strands were naturally thick and strong, she didn’t need the extra volume and scalp care offered by Saengsaeng Henna.
Instead, she wanted to keep her already-colored hair a deep, rich black, so she turned to Goddess Henna Hair Color Powder.

Since Goddess Henna is a powder type, Sangmi mixed it with warm filtered water and let it sit for about 30 minutes before applying.
As time passes, the mixture thickens and becomes denser, so it’s important not to dilute it too much at first — aim for a creamy, smooth consistency.

For bob-length hair, one pack can usually be divided into two sessions,
but because Sangmi’s hair was extra thick and heavy, she found that using about two-thirds of a pack in one go worked best.
She froze the remaining portion for her next session, ensuring nothing went to waste.
Preparing only the amount you need saves both time and product.

During the first couple of uses, her desired black shade didn’t fully develop.
This was because her hair still had traces of chemical treatments, which made it harder for the natural henna pigments to set.
But after three sessions, Sangmi’s hair finally achieved the deep, glossy black color she had been looking for.

Now, her hair feels softer, stronger, and naturally vibrant, and she’s thrilled to have found a way to maintain her black color without harsh chemicals.
